Canned Tuna Pie

It’s always good to have a stock cupboard dish in hand – especially one as tasty as this!
Preparation Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 20 min.
Servings: 4
INGREDIENTS
800g potato, cooked and mashed
1 large tuna tin
50g butter
50g flour
568ml milk or soya alternatively
Salt and pepper to taste
6 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
PREPARATION
Sauce: place flour, parsley, seasoning and a small amount of milk into a clean empty jar. Place lid on the jar and shake vigorously. Add the rest of the warmed milk and bring to a boil stirring continuously until thickened – place to one side and off-heat. Spread cooked mashed potato into the bottom of a greased casserole. Drain tuna and spread over potato. Pour over sauce and grate a small amount of cheese over the surface. Bake in a ready warmed oven (180°C) for approximately 20 - 25 minutes. Serve with minted petit pois.
